Announcing the eCourts 2024 Midnote Speaker: John Cohen

In today’s world, there are many threats to the integrity of our networks, our systems and our data. Courts should be prepared for cybersecurity threats but also a host of hybrid threats, such as doxxing, swatting, and reputational harm through deep fake videos and misinformation.

With four decades of experience in law enforcement, counterintelligence, and homeland security, John Cohen, our eCourts 2024 midnote speaker, will brief us on how to address hybrid threats.

Cohen serves as the Executive Director of the Program for Countering Hybrid Threats at the Center for Internet Security. He works closely with law enforcement, mental health groups, and civil society organizations nationwide to address issues relating to the impact of social media and the internet on crime, violence, community safety, and constitutional protections. Cohen has an extensive background in homeland security and law enforcement operations and policy development and has received several awards and commendations, including the Department of Homeland Security’s “Distinguished Service Medal.”
